Responsible entity and scope
1 MILLION WOMEN STRONG is responsible for Lumenhouse on Android. This policy covers version 1.0.0 and the app's accompanying website. It is effective August 22, 2026.
Intended audience
Lumenhouse is a self-guided reflection and planning tool intended for adults age 18 or older. It is not directed to children or minors. A parent or guardian should decide whether any use by a minor is appropriate and supervise that use.
Purpose and core functions
Users can explore 12 themed rooms, choose among 72 guided experiments, mark experiments as tried, and arrange up to six experiments in a Walkthrough. These functions are self-directed and work without an account or network connection.
Data collected or transmitted
Lumenhouse does not collect or transmit personal data. It does not ask for a name, email address, phone number, date of birth, demographic profile, precise location, contacts, photos, audio, files, payment information, or device identifiers.
On-device preferences and session state
To restore the experience, Lumenhouse stores visited room IDs, tried experiment IDs, up to six selected Walkthrough experiment IDs and their order, text-size choice, Reduce Motion choice, Quiet Mode choice, and whether the welcome screen was dismissed. This state stays in private app storage on the device.
Sensitive records and free text
The app has no free-text field and does not create youth profiles, health records, attendance logs, incident reports, journals, messages, photos, or audio recordings. The predefined choices are not sent anywhere.
Permissions
The Android manifest requests no Internet, location, camera, microphone, contacts, storage, notifications, Bluetooth, advertising, or other runtime permission. Lumenhouse does not access network services.
Account, login, and account deletion
An account or login is not offered or required, so account deletion does not apply. Local state can be removed using the controls described in Section 13.
Ads, analytics, tracking, and SDKs
No ads, analytics, attribution, tracking, telemetry, crash-reporting service, remote configuration, social login, or third-party data-collection SDK is included.
Sharing, disclosure, and sale
Because the app does not collect or transmit user data, it does not sell, rent, share, disclose, or monetize user data with advertisers, data brokers, affiliates, service providers, or other third parties.
External links, contact, export, and network behavior
The app contains no web browser, external link, contact form, email action, upload, download, cloud sync, or export function. Displaying the publisher's postal address does not transmit information.
Retention
Local state remains until a user clears part or all of it, clears the app's storage through Android, or uninstalls the app. 1 MILLION WOMEN STRONG does not receive or retain a server-side copy.
Deletion, backup, restore, and device transfer
Clear exploration in House Settings removes visited rooms, tried experiments, and the Walkthrough while retaining accessibility choices and the welcome marker. Clearing Lumenhouse storage in Android settings or uninstalling the app removes all app state. Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled for Lumenhouse data.
Security measures and limits
Keeping state in Android private app storage and avoiding network transmission reduces exposure. Device access, operating-system compromise, and physical security can still affect information on a device; no storage method can be guaranteed absolutely secure.
Children and safeguarding
Lumenhouse is not directed to children or minors and does not knowingly collect data from anyone. It provides no public profile, chat, precise location, or direct communication. Parents and guardians should decide whether the reflection activities are appropriate for a minor and supervise any use.
Advice and emergency limitations
Lumenhouse offers general reflection and planning activities. It is not medical, mental-health, legal, financial, educational, employment, safety, or crisis advice; it does not diagnose, treat, certify, screen, or provide emergency response. For urgent danger or a crisis, contact local emergency services or an appropriate qualified professional.
Policy changes and user choices
We may update this policy when the app changes. A new effective date and revised text will appear in the app and on the privacy-policy webpage. Users can choose whether to mark or arrange experiments and can remove local state at any time; continuing to use an updated version means the current policy applies.
